well three months have passed since i first arrived in the united states of America, it is hard to believe that my time is up already.
There was one sole purpose for makeing the journey over to the USA and that was to take my skiing to the next level to enable me to give the world a shake in france for what will be my third worlds championships and hopfully my best ones to date.
i have had some highs and long on the water since arriving back on june 2nd, before i arrived i had never run a full16m pass, within the first weeks Seth Stisher and PJ McMillan were able to guide me through my first 16m pass. i slowly became more consistant on the water with every week i was able to scrape a few more, after a month had passed i had a tournament at Trophy lakes on july 4th, i wasnt able to but it all together like i had been in training, however with scores of 5@58 in both opening round, although not were i was in training it was the third best score of the tournament season, but i the third round i was able to string a few passes together and get 2@14m to set a new Australian recorcd beating my previous record by 7 buoys set at nationals only a a couple of months before hand, but what finished it off was when i skied back to the dock and the first two people to congratulate me were pro skiers Freddy Kruger, who is als othe current jump world record holder and Karen Trulove, this was definatly a moment i will never forget.
however after that weekend i got a real realality check the ups and downs of waterskiing,i went through a couple of weekes were i didnt run 16, but i knew that i had to just keep pushing through it and it payed off, the consistancy returned and now i am skiing the best i have ever skied.. perfect time for worlds.
i have had a bad time on the trick ski over the past 7 months not landing many flips at all,i though that it wasnt going to come back before worlds came around but in one set 2 weeks ago i landed to flips and havnt looked back,
and the jump is going great to well i went through a stage of not landing jumps but we relised that that wasnt my fault. and i am feeling great on the ramp..
with the hard part out of the road it is time for me and the team to put it all together at worlds in one week, i am in the best form of my life due to the crew at H2Oz, now it is up to me to make sure tha it all pays off in a week..
